Mega Man 2 was always a side-scroller. In 3dSen it becomes a 3D voxel scene that scrolls the same way, only now the camera is yours — push in close to a corridor, pull back to take in a whole stage, drop the angle down to read a row of spikes from the side. Mega Man, the platforms, the bosses and the moving hazards all gain volume.

Each stage carries its character into 3D. The gears in Metal Man's stage are now wheels with thickness, rotating in space rather than cycling through flat sprite frames. The Red Devil enemies that open Air Man's stage have presence and direction. Not everything gets the same treatment — some elements come forward as full 3D objects, others stay set behind, layered. One reviewer said the result made him want to play through the whole game just to spot which elements got the full 3D treatment and which only popped forward or back.

The camera is an active variable in a 2D platformer. Tilt too far and an incoming hazard becomes harder to read — the precise distance to a jump, the line a moving obstacle is about to take. The reviewer above noted he kept eating damage from an early enemy until he flattened the camera back out. Managing the angle is part of playing.

In VR, the same scene becomes room-scale geometry — the stage stretched out in front of you, with platforms, bosses and enemies set at the depths the profile gave them. In AR via Virtual Desktop Passthrough, the diorama sits in your physical space at miniature scale, fully playable from above.

The gameplay underneath hasn't moved a frame. Same jumps, same boss patterns, same weapon trades. What changes is what you can see and feel.
